Alain Belhumeur started working in the cultural industry in 1975, first as a photographer and stage technician, on theatre tours, and then in video and radio. He started working in the cinema industry as assistant editor and sound editor. He works as film and video editor since 1982.

Many times nominated, some time winner: Gemini for the best editing, soundtrack, photography... and international tribute for documentaries who's Alain Belhumeur act as a director.

From 1995 until 2005, Alain Belhumeur was owner and technical director at the post-production company ANIMAVISION/Montage. During this period he developed a technical expertise through all the new formats, from film to digital technology.
